ERWIN’S Gastrobar is named after our founder’s Italian grandfather, Ervino Breitner. Born in 1904 in the port city of Triest, “Nonno” Ervino was an entrepreneur, father and well-travelled man, who enjoyed the finer things in life.
As an entrepreneur, he was always seeking opportunities and constantly improving himself.
Back home, Ervino was a witty man and devoted father, who enjoyed home-cooked meals. He loved his bubbly so much that the ceiling above his dining chair was full marks from popping the Champagnes!
We celebrate Ervino’s love for food with freshly homemade dishes made fresh daily. From handcrafted pasta and golden double-crust pizzas to warm, stone-oven baked focaccia, every bite is a tribute to modern Italian flavours and fresh, whole ingredients. Our menu also features hearty chopped salads, delicious vegetarian options, and a wide range of draft craft beers, bringing together quality you can taste in every dish.
